Great Solutions Require Effort

I am happy to report that PsyQuation is enjoying considerable growth over the past few weeks with many new users joining the platform from Thailand – ???????????? ?.

We remain committed to adding lots of new trading stars to the AxiSelect incubation program run together with Axi. As discussed in previous letters, traders with $1k in equity, a PsyQuationScore™ of 75 or more and a track record of 6 months or longer will automatically qualify for inclusion and receive immediate capital allocations.

Before diving into my thought piece for the week, I want to emphasise the importance of risk management. I say it all the time and I want to say it again, the secret to a career as a trader is, “living to fight another day”. It is quite amazing how the human condition gets in the way of this basic concept.

Henri Poincare a famous French mathematician and polymath describe the circumstances surrounding one of his famous mathematical discoveries:

We entered an omnibus to go some place or other. At the moment when I put my foot on the step, the idea came to me, without anything in my former thoughts seeming to have paved the way for it, that the transformations I had used to define the Fuchsian functions were identical with those of non-Euclidian geometry ….

For those of you not aware he was responsible for formulating the Poincare Conjecture which was one of the most famous unsolved mathematical problems until it was solved in 2002 by Grigori Perelman. I would like to add some extra colour to the story. PsyQuation’s very own Vladimir Krouglov employed by the Ukrainian Mathematics Institute was also working as an academic trying to solve this same problem.

We know of many other similar stories to Poincare’s discovery. Isaac Newton famously was hit on the head by a falling apple and suddenly discovered gravity. Wagner stumbled upon the orchestral introduction to Das Rheingold while hiking.

The famous South African golfer is credited with the quote, “the more I practise the luckier I get”. This is precisely the backstory to all these famous discoveries and great solutions. What people tend to focus on is the final result or the moment of magic, what is less reported on is the struggle and effort invested in acquiring the solution.

To all of you out there trying to solve the trading puzzle. Don’t chase easy solutions that require minimal effort as they will inevitably be short lasting. Rather invest heavily into acquiring more knowledge about yourself and the industry in which you want to master. Remember, great solutions don’t just happen they require effort.

Looking forward to more profitable trading together.
